Horicon Marsh is just up the road.

The largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States sits right next door, with more than 30,000 acres of wetlands, trails and wide-open sky.

  • Watch the migration. Spring and fall bring huge flocks of waterfowl and songbirds.
  • Walk the trails at Marsh Haven Nature Center on the north end of the marsh.
  • Stay for sunset, when the sky glows gold over the water.
